Chick-Fil-A and Gay Marriage

Newsflash!

This should not be news to the people of America, but apparently, it is.  Chick-Fil-A is a privately owned company, owned and ran by Christians who live in America.  This means they can be closed on Sunday to respect the Sabbath, can support or not support whomever they want, and can FREELY speak about their beliefs.

The owners of Chick-Fil-A have every right not to support gay-marriage and even say they do not support gay marriage.  That is their choice.  Because this is America and in America we get to CHOOSE who we are, what we think, what we believe, and where we eat.  If you don’t like Chick-Fil-A because they believe in marriage between one man and one woman, do not eat at Chick-Fil-A.

Stop condemning them for having their own opinions about things.  Do not ask people to be respectful of your feelings and your beliefs and not give them the same respect in return.

Why is everyone acting like this is brand new information? The company may not profess to be a Christian organization but the restaurant is closed on Sunday.  Obviously they believe in the practice of resting on the Sabbath.  And, being believers, I would assume they abide by what the Bible says, homosexuality is sin.

To clarify, the the CEO of Chick-Fil-A, Dan Cathy, never condemned gay marriage.  He never even mentioned the words gay marriage in his interview.  He just continuously reiterated his stance on traditional marriage and his family’s Christian beliefs.
